Recently, while passing by the recycling bin in our complex (yes, I look for marketing stuff everywhere), I noticed the following greeting card sitting there and it caught my attention.
On the front of the card, It had a sunset and huge letters saying, "Thinking of you…".
On the inside it had the following verse:
We thought of you this morning
And again this afternoon
We wondered how your day has been
And if we'd see you soon
Because we share a love for cars
And won't waver one iota
We'd love it if you'd stop on by
And we'll service your Toyota
And again this afternoon
We wondered how your day has been
And if we'd see you soon
Because we share a love for cars
And won't waver one iota
We'd love it if you'd stop on by
And we'll service your Toyota

Now let me ask you a few simple questions?
- Would that card get your attention if you received it?
- Would it be a gentle reminder to do something you probably need to but possibly have forgotten?
- With a little imagination, could you engineer a similar card for your customers?
How, you may ask?
- Simply visit SendOut Cards and for a pittance of $9.95 per month, you can sign up for a subscription.
- Next, choose a card (preferably with your photo on it, or generic if you wish).
- Create a verse (I will help you if you wish) and sign the card personally.
- Send it out to your client list.
Presto!
At the best, you will get a spike in orders and the least, you will be in your customers' radar for future business.
Whether it is for Halloween, or any other event, you can create a unique non-salesy verse that will remind your customers and potential customers that you are alive and well, and send a gentle reminder that you are ready to serve them.
