I’m not sure how to begin this newsletter except to say that I am still in the throes of a new product launch.

My partner, Brad Bates of www.powerupmedia.ca and I have had several ‘almost there’ moments over the past few months and difficult as it is to believe, we will be announcing it within days (do you see how I cleverly did not give an exact date having learned my lesson with technology).

What exactly is it, you ask?

Well, it has to do with how to use Facebook as a business tool and that is all I will share for now, however, you will be receiving a series of educational videos shortly that will definitely help you in marketing your business in this new and exciting medium of social media.

Meanwhile, here are some strategies & tactics to help you in your business.

Here are 5 phrases that need to be banished from your customer service vocabulary. As I teach in my workshops, the language you use to describe your business has a huge impact on your customers and prospects. Awareness is the first step in changing direction.

Are you a leader or a manager? There is a difference and this article will provide you with some interesting insights to help you determine where you are best suited.

Let me share with you an interesting tactic I gleaned from an attendee at a recent dealer education session I delivered to the wonderful folks at Stihl Canada in January.

One dealer shared that one of the added touches they provide for their customers who bring in a piece of equipment for repair is to return it to them completely cleaned and shined.

Now let me ask you, if you took your car to a dealer for repair and they detailed it before giving it back to you, would that gesture make you feel special and want to return to do business with you in the future?

Of course, and you would probably share that information with your friends and neighbors creating "word of mouth" referrals.

Can you find some simple gesture that you can offer in your business that will make your customer say “WOW” as they are leaving your business premises?

As I say in my book, “Turbocharge Your Retail Business”
‘Small hinges swing big doors’ and this falls into the ‘small hinge’ category.

In the next newsletter, I will share with you how this same dealer convinced the ‘washer’ how important his job is and how important he is to the company.

And finally, one of my favorite iconic singers passed away last week, her name was Etta James and I leave you with this gem called “AT LAST”
Click on this link, sit back in your chair, close your eyes and soak in the moment ……

Hope this helps!
